CROSSWIM® SOCIAL is the community club based CROSSWIM® training

CROSSWIM® SOCIAL is the group training tailored for adults (but youngsters can also join) in order to improve general fitness level including all four swimming strokes. Moreover, in this program there is no pressure. You can take a rest whenever you need it, but particular effort is required in order to achieve the results. Also, the entry requirements are much lower than in other levels (please see below).

CROSSWIM® SOCIAL is less demanding training as Prime due to its duration and strength component. First part of the training is a wet warm up including one swimming drill to refine the technique or one particular skill to learn a new stroke. The drill/skill is explained by a coach before the start of a training session. Second half is the muscles strength or power development depending on the session’s aim, which  can be performed either in or out of water. In general, out of water strength exercises have more benefits in terms of awareness of body position and exercise form, not to mention the level of effort. On other side, in water strength requires additional resistance, which is done by using particular movements or attached resistance. In summary, you will be able to choose the way how you would like to perform the strength component.

IMPORTANT NOTE.  Although a coach is present and the training plan of the session is usually written on a whiteboard,  CROSSWIM® SOCIAL is not coaching session, meaning that along with participants’ support, you have to be self-organised and self-motivated to train. Moreover, you can expect a coach in water training together in most of the sessions.
